I’ve been thinking about ugly Christmas sweaters of late, and on Instagram I found some photos. And there’s an impressive variety. And these pictures of Australian T. Rexs are even more impressive.
They aren’t a lot like the bad version I saw in the first grade, and they aren’t quite like the one I just made.
I’m not sure how I feel about this, but judging by the number of comments from my followers, I’m not the only one.
“What the heck?” “I love the mask.” “Did you make it or help someone do it?”
Many want me to take it down. But this is a photo of a dinosaur that’s huge and powerful and terrifying, and I want people to feel that terror on the page.
There’s also a photo of a Predator that seems like a more on-the-nose design choice, but I don’t really blame him.
And then there’s another one.
He’s like a bumblebee on steroids. You sure you want to call it Ugly Christmas Sweater on a T. Rex?
Or maybe you want to honor the fossilization of a magnificent creature, for which millions of years of waiting in obscurity were worth it.
